Documentation Notes:

** Note: Files noted with "**" contain figures that some PostScript
printers cannot process. On a network where Macs and Unix hosts share
a LaserWriter, it may be necessary to power cycle the LaserWriter and
then make sure that the Unix system prints the .psf file before a Mac
prints something.

The Reason Why: Macintoshes "permanently" add postscript routines to
the LaserWriter and take away from available RAM. Jobs with many
illustrations (such as the Release Notes) will not print with less
than all the RAM (in a 2 MB LaserWriter) available.

A Few Word About Our Manuals:

Cisco Systems manuals are available in printed form only. A manual and its
accompanying release notes are sent with each system ordered and are also
shipped with your upgrade and update packages of EPROMs. Additional copies
of the manuals listed below may be ordered through Customer Services. You may
either email them at customer-service@cisco.com or call them at (800) 553-NETS.

Requests for Comments (RFC)

cisco Systems also keeps a number of commonly requested RFCs.
These files are located in the subdirectory rfc/RFC. The files
are named rfc####.txt, where #### is the RFC number. See rfc/ls-RFC
for a list of filenames.

All available RFCs, as well as Postscript versions of many RFCs (cisco
only keeps the text, or .txt, version) are available from archive
sites on the Internet. See the file rfc/RFC/rfc-index.txt for
instructions on how to retrieve files from the NIC. This file also
contains a full list of the RFCs available at the archive site.
