Q: What is the EXE-mailing-list? A: The EXE-mailing-list is a mailing-list for EXE/COM - packers, protectors, unpackers and detection-tools. All new stuff is send via this mailing- mailing-list, e. g. HackStop, CrackStop, MESS, TEU, GTR, ChkEXE etc. All things send via this list must be public releases. Q: How can I join the list: A: You can either use the form on my Homepage (http://www.xoom.com/hanno) or you can write me an eMail at hanno@gmx.de. If you want to leave the list or if your adress is changing, please inform me also. I don't like it when there are adresses that are no longer valid. Q: What speech is used on the list? A: We only use English. Although there are many german users on the list, it should be for everyone and English is the only worldwide known language. Q: How can I send stuff to the list? A: You must send your files to exe%hanno@mailings.gmx.net You should use a common sending format, like MIME, UUEncoded or BASE64. For the files you can use the common packing-formats ARJ, ZIP, LZH or RAR. Or you can use SFX-files. Q: What should I write in the subject-line? A: You should begin your subject-line with "EXE: ". After that you should write the name and version of the program you are sending. And maybe some short important comments. Q: Should I only send things written by myself? A: No, if you've got something new written by someone else, you can also send it. Q: How can I avoid replys from adresses that aren't valid? A: You can fix this problem by using an annonymous remailer, which will delete the From:-adress in a mail. To get a description of an annonymous remailer, send a mail to remailer@cypherpunks.ca with subject "remailer-help". Q: May I also send debuggers and disassemblers? A: No, I don't think that they belong on this list. But anyway, I think many people on this list are interested in this stuff, so you might send the location of such programs in a short message. Q: Can I send requests for programs to the list? A: Normally the answer is no. If you are sending a file to the list, you can write your request in the mail. But I don't like mails that are only send because of a request. That's all. I had to make some rules. If someone is not accepting these rules after some warnings, he might be removed from the list. Sorry, but I have to keep this so strict. ********************************* * Hann0 Boeck * * Plauenerweg 4 * * D-71540 Murrhardt * * http://www.xoom.com/hanno * ********************************* Type Bits/KeyID Date User ID pub 1024/9359B6E5 1997/05/10 Hann0 Boeck -----BEGIN PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK----- Version: 2.6.3i mQCNAzN0qr4AAAEEALq58qHsHbqjwUFOTP1O8nh+Gu6nT432VX11s1zqU73W9wOd vuQ1an5k1m+j6V/+GDER7AaTaMgHR9idnOQzcqZ5G8gSh+6y+EYCzS+WbWH0VUqo qbOK1LxuM+mSNdsEdpgQObgoJavWs4AdnZ/G3sMNKxS9huZRgUrOlQuTWbblAAUR tBpIYW5uMCBCb2VjayA8aGFubm9AZ214LmRlPokAlQMFEDPwo05KzpULk1m25QEB bZcD/2tIhtOj/dsfrRx2TshY+f2F/kKZ+0sN7nbxv6S2l/cr+QkJSFE7ftx0kZWa xXckF35/d8vvx8u35Es5ZocPeB13B2PxkKZHVaxg9bDF+9FSHa/R5KBNj/VXqmIy SrdJp3mwuKV8yfOxulfUY84Mk5dcK/vGZrxRqQKtWN7zh8dt =RpyL -----END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK-----
