The file uwin_base.win32.i386.exe is a self extracting archive that
provides most of the UNIX utilities including the UNIX shell.
It should work with Windows NT and Windows 95.
It comes with a telnetd daemon that only works with Windows NT.
It is important to note that you can only select the drive.
It will create directories such as /usr, /dev, and /tmp  at the
top level.

You will also need the uwin_devlopment.win32.i386.exe file if you want to
do software development with uwin.

The size of the self extracting archive as approximately 4.1 Megabytes.
If you have trouble downloading a file of this size, then you can
select the uwin_partitioned option which consists of five
parts that need to be concatenated to form the uwinbase.exe
self extracting archive. 

You can create a U/WIN command window by clicking on the U/WIN icon
or by running the command \usr\bin\login.exe from the start
menu.
