Time.exe v1.0.6 "Time" is a small borderless window that shows your system time/date on your desktop. You may change the location, font, Display style, and colors. Also available are countdown timer, countdown alarm, and alarm clock. "Time" will announce the time on the hour and 1/2 hour with chimes at the 1/4 & 3/4 hour, (if you have the sound files). You may change all options on the configuration window. Required Files: Besides time.exe you need VB5 runtime and Comdlg32.ocx. If you use the Time Voice announce option you need the wav files. Installation: If you are using the short versions (Not using Setup.exe) Then create a subdirectory and unzip files there, (Example C:\Programfiles\Time). If you are using the full install, unzip the files in a temporary directory and run Setup.exe. Note! If you do not see time at first startup it may be behind your office toolbar if it is at the top of you screen. Startup: If you would like to start "Time" everytime your computer starts. Create a shortcut in your startup subdirectory to Time.exe. Move / Resize the Time Window: Left click and drag the time window to place it where you would like. When the mouse cursor is over the edge of the window the pointer changes showing that you can resize it. Left click and drag to resize. "Time" remembers its size & location when it re-starts. Configuration Window: Right click to bring up the configuration window, you may set Font, font colors, background color, display style, and voice options. Hint: Put time in the upper middle of screen, make the height about 1/4" tall. Set the background color the same as the color on your desktop or wallpaper under time. Set the 'Always ON Top' check box. Time will remain "On Top" of all other windows. Accessing Timer/Alarm Controls: Double Click over the time window to activate timer/alarm control window. Clicking the Hide / close button "hides" the window but alarms will continue to run. The timer box is used to time events, you are required to start/stop/reset it. The countdown alarm box is used to alert you after "XX:XX:XX" time has passed. Set the countdown alarm and start it, Maximum time is 23:59:59. After time has elapsed, A window will pop up alerting you that alarm has counted down. The Set Sound button allows you to change the alarm clock & countdown alarm sound to any "wav" file on your system. The Alarm Clock box is used to alert you when a certain time is reached. Set desired alarm time using displayed format, when time is reached a window will pop up alerting you that the alarm time was reached. You can auto start/restart the alarm by clicking on the auto restart check box. When time starts the alarm clock will be enabled if auto restart is clicked. After the alarm occurs it will restart and the alarm will re-occur 24 hrs later if time is still running. Closing "Time": Right click to bring up the configuration window, Left click 'Close and Exit Application' button. Note 1: The time window can be resized, If you select a font or font size that is bigger than the window then you will need to resize it to see a full display. Note 2: You may change the voice wav files to anything you like as long as you do not rename the file. Note 3: Currently time will only display and announce time in the American 12 hour format.
