95Extra is no longer supported, this is the final version.

If you plan to use FreeZip, please uninstall the UnZipClick
option and then install FreeZip.

95Extra is free for any use and distribution.

95Extra installs enhancements to the MS Windows95® 
operating system. This version features:

MaxMTU
- set MaxMTU=576 (DefaultRcvWindow=2144, DefaultTTL=64)
  for faster Internet.

FixedDiskCache
- reduce the size of disk cache (1024kB) to improve
  system speed

DragFullWindows
- drag full windows (if you don't have the Plus!)

UnZipClick
- double click on a zip file to decompress it to the current
  subdirectory (with Long File Names and subdirectories)

NotepadAnyFile
- open any right-clicked file in Notepad (MS Office Toolbar
  conflicts with this option and you can not have them both 
  installed)

SpecialFolders
- get the contents of Control Panel and Dial Up Net on your
  Start menu (available on single user systems only)

CleanTemp
- automatically delete files in the temporary subdirectories
  when Windows 95 starts up 

95Extra can not selectively install these features, but you
can uninstall them separately - the uninstall options will be
placed in the Start/Programs menu.

95Extra may copy to your system "cool.dll", file which
was originally a part of "ct9605.zip", archive made available
by "c’t Magazin für Computertechnik" (Hannover, Germany).
95Extra will NOT overwrite your existing "cool.dll".

95Extra will copy to your system "unzip32.exe", latest
version (5.31) of Info-ZIP's decompression utility. Info-ZIP's
software (Zip, UnZip and related utilities) is free and can be
obtained as source code or executables from various bulletin
board services and Internet/WWW sites, including CompuServe's
IBMPRO forum and ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/infozip/

Version 2.1 no longer decompresses zip files to the
Windows\Temp subdirectory. The current folder is used instead.
Obtaining licence for commercial use or distribution is not
required.
