ArchiCAD-4.16 Library Tämä tiedosto sisältää tietoa amerikkalaisesta, englanninkielisestä kirjastosta, joka toimitetaan ylimääräisenä lisänä suomennetun ArchiCADin mukana. Suosittelemme suomalaisen Peruskirjaston käyttöä ja kopioimaan tästä sangen laajasta amerikkalaisesta kirjastosta vain erikseen valitut objektit käytettyyn kirjastoon. Suomessa on lisäksi saatavilla kotimaisia erittäin korkeatasoisia (myös kansainvälisessä levityksessä) kirjastoja erilaisiin tarkoituksiin. Näitä kirjastoja ovat: Geometriset, K57, Keittiö, Piha, Yhdyskunta, Toimisto, Somisteet, Ikkunat, Hirret ja Sähkömerkit. Tulossa ovat mm. Ovet. /M.A.D. Oy ArchiCAD-4.16 Library The ArchiCAD Library contains both new objects and ones that already existed in previous ArchiCAD versions (some of these have been corrected). Library items such as doors, windows and objects can be identified by two names. The first is a filename that is eight-character long as a maximum and the appropriate extension is added to them (.dor for doors, .win for windows and .gsm for objects). A library item has an additional name, a so-called document name that can be much longer for better description of its content. You can toggle the document name and filename display in the Settings dialog boxes by clicking on the name at the top of the dialog box. In order to accelerate interpretation of the library items, ArchiCAD processes all the 3D data contained in library items when you use an item for the first time. The resulting binary information is saved with the same name but a modified filename extension is added (e.g. 210chair.gs& is saved beside the existing 210chair.gsm file). You may delete these binary files from your library but remember that ArchiCAD will again generate automatically the binary file the next time you want to use the given objet and, if this binary file already exists, the 3D conversion is faster. All the document names of the items have been changed to be more consistent, e.g., Symbol names have been marked with an "*" character for all symbols existing only in 2D . Before installing the library, make sure you understand the following: ArchiCAD identifies the objects by their EXACT DOCUMENT NAMES, and not by their filenames. This means that if you happen to have an older version of an ArchiCAD Library, you MUST NOT simply replace it with the new one, because then some of the objects in your older projects will not be found. We recommend that you save a backup copy of your old ArchiCAD Library in a separate folder, and/or be sure to save any projects created with the old library in ARCHIVE format. This will ensure that any plans created with the old ArchiCAD Library names can load up using all the original objects they were created with.
