Thank you for trying Mpmodem (C) Copyright, 1992,1993 M. Jose. Some important Info ------------------- 1. Existing users of MpModem will have to convert their current MpModem.Cfg file (the configuration file) using the "cfg-conv" program. This will add default values to the MpModem.Cfg file. You should then run MPConfig.Exe and change and check the default values. See MPMODEM.DOC for more details. 2. You can set the environment variable MPMODEM to execute MPModem in a different path to that where its configuration and other data files reside. Eg. SET MPMODEM=X:\MPMODEM\DATA So now you can run MPModem from ANY directory and not have to have the configuration file in each directory. This is very handy if you run MPModem off a BBS and want to use only one configuration setup for multi-line BBS. 3. To break out of the program/abort a transfer, press . This is the standard way of "crashing" out of a program and is far better than using other key combinations that could be accidently pressed or used by TSRs etc. NOTE: It doesn't crash the program - it will exit quite gracefully in fact.
