                DOS Utilities Update (GUS0040.ZIP) [01/15/94]

We released an update to the V3.x software a few weeks ago in a file
called GUS0038. Since that update the following files have changed.

 Old   New   Program Name      Description of what was fixed
 2.16  2.18  ULTRINIT        - Would not properly init a V2.4 UltraSound
 3.5B  3.5   PLAYFILE        - Did not properly restore the interrupt
                               vector table
                             - Did not handle stereo WAV files properly,
                               it was playing them in MONO
       4.03  PLAYMIDI        - There was a problem in the MIDI engine
 1.07  1.08  ULTRAMID          which caused some precussion instruments
       1.11  MIDIFIER          to sound flat (ie: much like the sound you
                               would get by banging on rubber pale). Since
                               all these programs used the same MIDI engine
                               they were all affected.
