The printer drivers take full advantage of the WYSIWYG spreadsheet publishing add-in provided with the 1-2-3 package as well as the native raster printing capabilities. &d3D(s3BIMPORTANT NOTE:&d@(s0B The HP DeskJet 560C printer is compatible with the HP DeskJet 550C printer. The Lotus(R) 1-2-3(R) driver included on this driver disk was developed for the HP DeskJet 550C printer and is recommended for use with your HP DeskJet 560C printer. Remember to select the HP DeskJet 550C as your printer model when selecting a printer driver in Lotus(R) 1-2-3(R). &d3D(s3BCopying the Driver Files&d@(s0B Copying and installing the driver files for 1-2-3 is a 3-step process. 1. Copy the driver files (using the DRIVER.EXE program contained on the "HP DeskJet 560C Printer Drivers for DOS applications" diskette) to the 1-2-3 directory on your hard disk. NOTE: The files that are copied and decompressed are font files (*.LRF). 2. Run the INSTDRV.BAT utility contained on the "HP DeskJet 560C Printer Drivers for DOS applications" diskette. This utility merges files contained on the floppy with those present on your hard disk (in the 1-2-3 directory). (See below for instructions.) 3. Run the Lotus INSTALL program (on your hard disk) to add the drivers to your library. &d3D(s3BUsing the "INSTDRV.BAT" Utility&d@(s0B Use the installation utility, "INSTDRV.BAT", contained on the "HP DeskJet 560C Printer Drivers for DOS applications" diskette to copy the printer driver files to the 1-2-3 directory on your hard disk. 1. Insert the DeskJet 560C DOS Driver Disk into a floppy drive. 2. From the DOS prompt on your floppy drive (e.g., A: or B:), run INSTDRV.BAT by typing INSTDRV followed by the full path name of your 1-2-3 directory and the letter of your floppy drive (the floppy drive where this disk is located). For example: INSTDRV C:\123R3 B ...then . In this example the B: drive is the floppy drive where the driver disk is located. This batch file will copy all the necessary additional files to the 1-2-3 subdirectory and will modify the INSTALL.DDF file already present in the 1-2-3 subdirectory. The existing INSTALL.DDF file will be renamed INSTALL.BAK. &d3D(s3BUsing the Lotus(R) Install Program&d@(s0B 1. From the 1-2-3 directory on your hard disk type INSTALL ...then .
