NOVELL TECHNICAL INFORMATION DOCUMENT TITLE: Updates to NetWare 4.1 PTF PSERVER.NLM README FOR: PSERVE.EXE NOVELL PRODUCTS and VERSIONS: NetWare 4.1 ABSTRACT: This PTF version of Pserver.nlm is an update for NetWare 4.1 ----------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER THE ORIGIN OF THIS INFORMATION MAY BE INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL TO NOVELL. The SPX keep alive packets will continue to be sent to the nprinter client but the client will no longer be sent print job data. 2- NPRINTER showing on the console as "not connected" but doing an nprinter -s shows the status of the NPRINTER as "waiting for job". Jobs sent to the queue are picked up by the pserver and the pserver starts servicing the job, but nothing ever comes out the printer. Job can be aborted at the PSERVER console, but the connection drops to "not connected" 3- Printer stops servicing jobs. The only way to restart it is to down the PSERVER and reload it. 4- When trying to unload PSERVER.NLM at the server console the process seems to hang. This is really an SPX issue that will be resolved at a future date. In the meantime this is a temporary fix to PSERVER.NLM to compensate for the SPX problem. Note: The changes made to PSERVER.NLM regarding the SPX issue will not be carried over to future versions of PSERVER.NLM.
