The following applications support the GD542x Extended Modes using VESA or specific Board-supported configurations: Setting ColorRIX to use the GD542x Extended Modes: ------------------------------------------------ Copy RIXVIDEO.DSC to your ColoRIX directory and ColoRIX will recognize the following GD542x extended modes: 640x480x256 Colors 800x600x16 or 256 Colors 1024x768x16 Colors 1024x768x256 Colors Setting VPIC ver. 4.0 and Above to use the GD542x Extended Modes: --------------------------------------------------------------- Note: If you want to preserve your original VPIC executable and configuration files, rename the VPIC.EXE and VPIC.CFG files. For example, REN VPIC.EXE OLDVPIC.EXE REN VPIC.CFG OLD.CFG Copy VPIC.CFG from the \MISC directory of the GD542x Display Drivers Diskette, or the directory you installed the CLUTILS into, to the VPIC directory on your hard disk and run CONFIG.EXE to modify the VPIC.EXE file. For example, CONFIG VPIC Run CVPIC.EXE to view the new changes in VPIC.EXE. You may have to run CVPIC.EXE a second time to implement the new settings.
