Note! To connect a Sony CDU-31A CD-ROM drive to this Sound Card, you can purchase the Sound Galaxy Sony Adaptor accessory from your nearest Multimedia Pro Sound Card dealer. C. INSTATCD.EXE program ------------------------ The INSTATCD.EXE program to install the AT-Bus CD-ROM drivers has been upgraded to be more user-friendly. The new program now works as follows: Note! You must have a copy of the file MSCDEX.EXE stored in the relevant location on your PC's harddisk. It is recommended that you copy this file to the \MMPRO\DRIVERS directory before running this program (SGNXPRO is the default directory name, and will be different if you have specified a different name during installation). 1. Run the program by typing INSTATCD at the \MMPRO directory, and then press the [Enter] key. The first screen displays the three different types of AT-Bus CD-ROM drivers (Panasonic, Mitsumi and Sony) to install. 2. Select the appropriate choice. The program will search for the file MSCDEX.EXE on the current drive. If it is not found, you will be prompted for the drive where MSCDEX.EXE is located. If you are installing the Mitsumi CD-ROM drivers, step #3 will be displayed. If you are installing the Panasonic or Sony CD-ROM drivers, go to step #4. 3. For Mitsumi CD-ROM drivers, you must specify an interrupt channel for the CD-ROM drive. Select the interrupt channel (the default, IRQ 11, will usually work, unless it is already used for another device). 4. The program will prompt you to automatically update the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files. Type [Y] to add the appropriate information into both files, and exit this installation program. - end of file -
