-- ../EC/etc/data/netlib/$Id: README,v 3.2 1996/01/08 09:50:00 joke Rel $ AT&T's Netlib server: ftp netlib.att.com This server runs the Plan 9 operating system (not Unix). Anonymous ftp access is open to users inside and outside of AT&T. Our ftp server is new and we'ld like to know about any problems you have communicating with it or our TCP implementation. Please send email about problems to postmaster@plan9.att.com. Our ftp server has a feature (hack) copied from other sites. To get a tar of a directory (and all its subdirectories) append a '.tar' suffix to the name of the directory when retrieving it. Since intelligent ftp clients (both human and computer) don't know about Plan 9 and would have problems parsing our directory listings, we simulate BSD Unix 'ls' for our directory listing. We support the 'R', 'C', 'l', 't', and 'r' options. -==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==- Please refer to the toplevel README file ../EC/README for further explanations. A handbook to this service is in ../EC/handbook. -==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-
