Genesis:

Genesis is a generational GA system written in C by John Grefenstette. As the first widely available GA program Genesis has been very influential in stimulating the use of GAs, and several other GA packages are based on it. Genesis is available together with OOGA (see below), or by FTP from ftp://ftp.aic.nrl.navy.mil/pub/galist/src/genesis.tar.Z (Unverified 8/94).
