@2{DMC NEW FILE CHECKING SYSTEM @3 }By Andy Gibson @4 Just before releasing this GOLD version of DMC, I decided to make it even more intelligent by reading all the files loaded to check whether they are normal, crunched, pictures, music or text files. @1 Let me explain. Let's say you put a music module on the disk and it is crunched with PPacker, obviously DMC wouldn't be able to play it. @5 Previous versions of DMC would still try to play the crunched file and all you would hear was a load of nonsense due to the file being crunched. Not anymore. DMC loads in the file, checks it and will report if it is crunched with PPacker. @3 Obviously if you have RTDD running, then all files crunched with CMania will load and display/play 100% without any errors being reported. :) @4 If it has been crunched with CMania and you don't have RTDD running the the files will not be used. @5 Mainly written as past users were taking modules from PD music comps and text files that were packed with PPacker and trying to use them with DMC. @1 So now you will see the messages displayed on screen telling you if DMC cannot use them. @3 eg. You click on a text file to be loaded from the INDEX PAGES. You see the message LOADING ARTICLE as normal. If you are using RTDD and the text file is crunched with PPacker, you will then see the message ERROR PPACKED FILE. @4 eg. You click on a picture to be loaded from the INDEX PAGES. You see the message LOADING PICTURE as normal. If you don't have RTDD running and the file is crunched with CMania, you will see the message ERROR CMANIA FILE. @5 I hope I haven't confused you in any way ! :) @1 End.
