<>@2{D M C INSTRUCTIONS @3 }By Andy Gibson @4 DMC has many options, it is used by mouse and/or keyboard. The Index contains a full list of all the Articles available. You will also notice that the Index has a number of pages that can be flipped through. (This can be checked by looking at the top right of the screen when you have selected @3INDEX @4from the panel). @3LOADING @1- @5Loading an Article from the Index is as easy as clicking on it with the mouse button. If an Article can be loaded, it will be hi-lighted when the pointer is over it. (You can choose to press @1 @5instead of pressing the mouse keys! When an Article has loaded, you can check to see how many pages it has by looking at the top right of the screen. @1 eg. Page 1 of 4 @6 Over the next few pages we shall run through all the buttons on the panel. @3INDEX @1- @4This displays the index. It can be selected from the control panel or by pressing @1@4. Obviously you will only need to use this option when you have an Article or IFF loaded. @3NEXT @1- @5This option will display either the next Index Page or Article Page depending on which one being displayed on the screen. It can be selected via the control panel or by pressing the @1@5. @3PREV @1- @4This option will display either the previous Index Page or Article Page depending on which one is being displayed on the screen. It can be selected via the control panel or by pressing the @1@4. @3FIRST @1-@5This option will display either the first Index Page or Article Page depending on which one is being displayed on the screen. It can be selected via the control panel or by pressing the @1@5. @3LAST @1- @4This option will display either the last Index Page or Article Page depending on which one is being displayed on the screen. It can be selected via the control panel or by pressing the @1@4. @3GOTO @1- @5This option will display any Index Page or Article Page depending on which one is being displayed on the screen. It can be selected via the control panel or by pressing the @1@5. Then just type in the page you want to jump to and press @1@5. @3PRINT @1-@4This will only become available when an article has loaded. It can be selected from the panel or by pressing @1@4. @3ABOUT @1- @5This will bring up a small message box with some information about DMC. It can be selected via the control panel or by pressing @1@5. @3HELP @1- @4Will Display a quick help screen. It can be selected via the control panel or from the keyboard by pressing @1@4. @3COLOURS @1- @5The coloured text shown on articles can now be toggled on/off. This can be selected via the control panel or from the keyboard by pressing @1@5. Try it just now. @3MUSIC@1- @4This option toggles the music On or Off. It can be selected via the control panel or pressing @1@4. @3SECRET @1- @5This option will let you type in a password to access some secret messages ! You need to know the correct password before gaining entry to the messages ! It can be selected via the Index only and you will be prompted to enter the password. As usual this can be selected via the control panel or by pressing @1@5. @3CLI @1- @4This will let you go to either CLI or WBench, depending in where you loaded DMC from. All CPU time will be returned to the Amiga and to get back to DMC from CLI or WBench you need to press @1@4. This option can be selected via the control panel or by pressing the above mentioned keys. @3QUIT @1- @5This will let you Quit DMC ! It can be selected via the control panel or by presing @1@5. @3NB @1- @4IFF pictures do NOT have a selection of pages ! Therefore the NEXT, PREV, FIRST, LAST & GOTO options wont work when an IFF picture is being displayed on the screen.
