@2{CREATING NORMAL (79 Char) ARTICLES @3 }By Andy Gibson @4 Your articles must be typed and saved as a normal ASCII text files. Most text editors save in this format so there shouldn't be a problem. Each article when displayed on screen will be shown as 24 lines per page. (Split Screen - 24 each side) An article with Up to 200 pages can be shown ! So that means that you musn't type more than 4800 lines of text. phew ! That works out at 200 pages * 24 lines of text = 4800 lines. Your articles can include coloured text and every character could be a different colour if you wanted it to be ! A maximum of fifteen colours can be shown. @1 1-White (default) @2 2-Red @3 3-Yellow @4 4-Green @5 5-Cyan @6 6-Blue @7 7-Purple #1 8-White (flashing) #2 9-Red (flashing) #310-Yellow (flashing) #411-Green (flashing) #512-Cyan (flashing) #613-Blue (flashing) #714-Purple (flashing) #815 Various (multi-Cycling) @4 To use any of these colours within your text articles you are required to type in special codes before your text. A full list of these codes can be found in your manual or you could load this text file into your favourite text editor to see how it's done. Let's say you wanted a line of red text followed by a line of yellow text: @2This is a line of red text. @3This is a line of yellow text. @4 Now let's say you wanted a line of red text with a flashing red word in the sentence: @2Normal red text here followed by #2FLASHING TEXT @2is also possible. @4 Do NOT type any more than 79 chars per line (including codes) and do NOT use the TAB key to include spaces ! DMC is not compatible with TABS and they will not format correctly! As always, your text filess can be tested in the Article Tester.
