_____________________________________________________________________ W E L C O M E T O J T E's MAGICWB ICONS » 4 « Released 18-12-94 _____________________________________________________________________ INTRODUCTION Merry X-Mas & Happy New Year ALL Amiga users all over the world! This is the 4rd MagicWB (© Martin Huttenloher) package from me, Jan-Tore Eliassen. After package #3, which was HUGE, I decided not to release another elephant package again, and also not to wait that long before releasing it. So this little package with icons is released less than 3 weeks after the last one. I think it will be a couple of months before another iconpack comes from me. :-( Anyway, hope you like'em! ;-) _____________________________________________________________________ CONTENTS This package contains over 60 MagicWB icons. On some of the icons I've only updated the background to standard MagicWB2 colors, because they had that ugly yellow/brown colors which I don't like at all, except on Prefs icons! Others I have only updated to the standard MagicWB2 template size. If all icons have the same size the Workbench wouldn't look that mezzy. One thing that NewIcons bring to your WB is a clean look, because every icon have the same size. A few of the icons have it's inspiration from the NewIcons package. I've have stolen lot of ideas and stuff from most of the MagicWB packages out there, as if that was something new! The def_icons are the same size as the one in the RomIcons 4 pack, so you can use mine and Romans def_icons together with a DefIcon utility. They're a perfect match! ;-) _____________________________________________________________________ INSTALLATION Click on 'ClickForColors' for the NEW MagicWB v2.0 palette. Use a icon update program, MUI_IconUpdate or IconUpdate, which preserves the tooltypes and position of the icon, to update your old icons. You can also use SwazInfo (© David Swasbrook). _____________________________________________________________________ NOTE All the icons in this package are in 8 colors, 3 bitplanes. MagicWB v2.0 have a demon that controls the icons (and patterns) so that they have the correct colors. So if you use more than 8 colors on your WB, the icon colors will not be fucked up! This makes MagicWB v2.0 nearly as fast as the standard 4 color icons. For you not using the MagicWB 2 demon and use more than 8 colors, can fix the ugly looking icons by using the icon utility IconDepth v1.4 (© Bjørnar Henden). But this will make the icons bigger (KB wise!) and the Workbench much slower. So register NOW! MagicWB look best for screens sized 640x512 and above. Don't use it with 640x256 screens, it's FUCKING ugly! Icons are meant to replace the text in a GUI-Graphic User Interface, so avoid using large fonts on the WB. XHelvetica 9 or 11 are big enough for the WB. _____________________________________________________________________ COPYRIGHT JTE's MagicWB Icons 4 (JTEMWB4) is copyright ©1994 Jan-Tore Eliassen. This package is FREEWARE. You are allowed to spread it all over the world using any storage medium available, but you must spread the whole package. Programmers & creators of PD-software are allowed to include single icons of this package in their own package-distributions. _____________________________________________________________________ DISCLAIMER I'll take no responsibility for you getting laughed at for using these icons!
