______________________________________________________________________ ROAD TO HELL ______________________________________________________________________ Hi! Seeing as you are reading this file you must be one of the 2% of Amiga users who actually know how to load the Workbench. The other 98% are mystified by anything other than a self-booting game, which is why I made ROAD TO HELL self boot as well as work from the Workbench! THE GAME -------- All instructions as to how to play the game are given in the game itself. Just select the 'instructions' option on the main menu. EXPANDED MACHINES ----------------- Being a 'proper' Amiga user, chances are you've got at least two megs of memory and Workbench 2.0. You'll be glad to know that with these specifications (or better, of course) disk access will be practically none existant once the game has loaded. HARD DISK DRIVES ---------------- To install to hard disk, use the hard disk installer option built into the game. If this doesn't work for your system (and there are a lot of different systems out there!) you can do it manually. The only catch is that the file "Road To Hell", a startup file operated via IconX, has to be changed so that the first line reads Road_to_hell where is used to tell the game where it was called from. For example if you install the game on a hard drive called DH1: onto the GAMES directory, the line would read: Road_to_hell dh1:games/ Updates/bug fixes ----------------- If any major cock-ups are brought to my attention, I will correct any bugs and release the corrected version to the Public Domain. The same is true of any major enhancements (an A1200 specific version is a definite possibility). New versions will automatically be sent to any registered users. REGISTERING ----------- Oh go on! You know you want to! It'll be ever so exciting! Seriously, I am very very very very (times ten to the power one hundred) pleased to receive shareware payments, and try to make it worth your while by sending out freebies such as other games I have written and free updates. Send all your lovely dosh (about £5 would be very nice) to: Philip G Harle Highfield, Sandy Bank, Riding Mill, Northumberland, NE44 6HT Live long and prosper!
