The Buddy System For Imagine 2.0 03-12-92 Release (please read the "Getting Started" topic, from within the Buddy System for more details on all the new functions.) Here's some features of the new interface: · Draggable and Sizeable text and index windows · Button Gadgets for the Search and Move functions · Improved Searching - The text is now positioned at matching hypertext links and all matches are highlighted for visibility. · You can now activate the Search function (Spacebar) without a text window active · Keyboard equivalents for all functions · The Index is positioned at the closest match if an exact one is not found · A new Global Search function. This allows you to search all text files for a particular word or phrase. (CTRL & Spacebar) · You can print the current text by pressing the PrtSc key (the * key on the numeric pad of A500, A2x00s & A3x00s; or just press the regular * key) DEMONSTRATIONS · A requester appears before proceeding with a demonstration. Additionally, a requester appears to ask if you want to perform the Initialization sequence before the actual demonstration. -You do not have to perform the initialization sequence if you are in the correct editor for a particular demonstration (i.e. you are in the detail editor & have selected the Extrude demo), AND if the editor interface is in its default state. That is, the grid spacing is set to 20 units, Magnification = 1, all three views are centered at the origin (0,0,0), etc. Bypassing the initialization essentially lets you get directly to a demonstration, without delay. If a demonstration appears to be malfunctioning, abort it with the ESC and restart it - this time with an initialization sequence. · WARNING: DO NOT MODIFY The Imagine.config file in the Buddy System drawer. Certain settings are required for the demonstrations to run correctly. · WARNING: Certain Public Domain Screen Blankers & Mouse Accelerators may conflict with the Buddy System's demonstrations due to the nature of the playback process. Demonstrations are pre-recorded mouse & keyboard sequences that can be thrown off by programs that affect mouse movement. So, to make sure the demonstrations play correctly, disable any mouse acceleration. A3000 owners should not have the acceleration feature activated in their Input Preferences. Also, Make sure Mouse Speed = 1.
