In the Linux distribution, there is only one file in this directory:
"table".  That's about all you need unless you want to make custom
mail routers which have their own methods tables.  It's available
if you want to play with it or if something comes up where it's needed.

(For more information, see /usr/lib/smail/routers and take note of
all the places that various routers say "method=table".  For the
routers that use it (it only makes sense on a few routers), this
determines the default transport (delivery mechanism) from
/usr/lib/smail/transports which will be used based on the destination
host or domain.
