PD NOTES : 10/24/88
-------------------

The SMUS player on this disk is a revised version of the one
originally presented on Fred Fish Disk #58. Besides just plain soundin'
better, its syntax is a little more easy to use. As always, this SMUS
player is not necessarily the most current version. Call or write for
more information.

EXAMPLE USAGE
-------------

Version 3.6 differs from previous versions in that the instrument
pathname is explicit. In other words, the string "/Instruments" is no longer
postpended to the instrument pathname, while no instrument pathname will
look for instruments in the "Instruments" subdirectory in the current path.

	Example :

	smus3.6a play_me :smusplayers/instruments
        smus3.6a play_me

Both of the examples will play the SMUS file "play_me" in the
current directory with the instruments in the Instruments directory. Since
Electronic Arts copyrights their instruments, you must provide the instrument
(accordion) and place it in the instrument directory to play the sample song.

These players are for demonstration purposes only; the actual device
drivers are available for licensing to commercial developers. The author
