NCSA Telnet

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Please read the README.FIRST file - found at the root level of this server - 
for general information and instructions on unarchiving and uncompressing
files (files with the ".sit", ".hqx", ".zip", ".tar", and ".Z" extensions).

The README.BROCHURE also contains helpful descriptions of this and other
software offered on the ftp server.

NCSA TELNET

The following directories are available for Mac Telnet:

Telnet2.4.02:  This directory contains the official UPDATE release of Telnet
     2.4.  This version fixes two major bugs with Telnet.  Fonts now are
     displayed correctly, such as with Monocco 10.  Also, the KCHR map problem
     is fixed, making Telnet once again fully compatible with applications such
     as Hypercard.  This fix also works correctly with foreign keyboard
     mappings.  Included in the directory:  the MacTCP version of Telnet, the
     NCSA version, and the source code update.

Telnet2.4.02docs:  Contains the documentation for Telnet 2.4.02.

Telnet2.5:  This directory contains the release of Telnet
     2.5.  This version fixes several major bugs.  Refer to the README in
     that directory. Contains MPW source as well.

Telnet2.5docs:	Contains the most recent documentation for Telnet.
