The Corner Barbershop A CyberPainting by Timothy Early This is a CyberPaint sequence file. Use Animate3.prg to view. Set for ping-pong mode, buffering on, and a speed of 6-8, or whatever you prefer. I created this animation using CAD 3D v.2.02, CyberControl, and CyberPaint. This complex model features a one-chair barbershop with a working mirror. Due to a combination of the viewpoint angle and camera motion, the CAD 3D delta animation suffered from a severe case of the jaggies. I used CyberPaint extensively to minimize this effect between frames. For this animation, CyberControl was invaluable during the construction process. The whole concept began when I tried Tom Hudson's COILMAKE.CTL script. What could I do with a spiral spring? I made two, rotated one 180 degrees about its long axis, put caps on the ends, and viola!, a red and white barber pole! Then I needed a wall to mount it on, and from there, a whole barbershop. CyberControl was used to align the various pieces, clone objects in place, and move objects in precise increments. This CyberPainting has been released for the enjoyment of all ST owners. It may not be used for commercial purposes without my permission. Comments and critisism welcome. Timothy Early Compuserve: 73765,1173 GEnie: T.EARLY U.S. Mail: 14 Carpenter Rd. Bolton, CT 06043
