The BBSLIST.EXE program on this disk is designed to
produce ASCII listings of files for the shareware
libraries produced by EMS. These listings may be
used on your BBS only after getting permission from
EMS (There's no charge, we just want to explain
additional opportunities for your BBS to profit
from introducing your subscribers to EMS's libraries.)

Under no circumstances may the complete directory
database (with full descriptions, prices, vendor address,
etc.) files be downloadable from any BBS in DBF or complete
ASCII format!

If one of these formats isn't EXACTLY what your BBS needs,
just send us a copy of the file listing layout you need
from your BBS, and we'll do our best to make a BBS listing
program option for you. Because all data is in a database,
rather than a simple text listing, it's easy for EMS to
make file listings by date, author/vendor, product type,
price (separate PD, SW, Free and unstated), and even
listings of commercial products with phone, fax, 800, etc.

To use the BBSLIST.EXE program, copy it from the CDROM to
a directory on your hard disk, say "C:\TEMP"
Copy the directory database you want to convert to the
same (or different) directory and unzip. Then type
BBSLIST       and then tell the program where the database
you want converted is located. All the output files will
be placed in the C:\TEMP directory. You can then use your
text editor to modify them to your exact needs. EMS will
be happy to create variations or complete install programs
tailored to your needs free of charge. Just tell us what
you need.

To use the Galacticom conversion written by one of our
customers, run the GALCRSCR program with the name of the
database as a command line parameter. Read the file
GALCRSCR.DOC for details.
