         Introduction:
         ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Watzi for Windows is based on the popular game Yahtzee.
From one to four players take turns rolling the dice
each trying to obtain the highest score. The score for
each round of play is based on the combination of dice
that have been rolled and the checkbox that the player
marks. For complete rules about scoring, please press
the 'Help' button during play of the game.

Watzi is distributed with the following files:

         Setup:
         ÄÄÄÄÄÄ
To setup Watzi, create a directory on your hard-drive,
and copy the files listed above to it. Then launch
Windows, open the group where you want the Watzi icon
to be placed, and select 'File' and 'New...' from Program
Manager's main menu. Choose 'Program Item', and then
type the name 'Watzi' and the complete path of WATZI.EXE
on the appropriate lines of the next dialog box. Click
on 'OK'. You should now have the Watzi icon in your
         program group.

To play Watzi, double-click the Watzi icon, and after the
game card is in view, press the 'New Game' button and enter
a name (or names) for the game. For help at any time
while Watzi is running, press the 'Help' button.

To view the rules for Watzi, select player names for a new
game, press 'Ok' in the New Game dialog box, and when you
are back at the main game card dialog, press 'Help'.

         Notes:
         ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
Watzi creates an .ini file (WATZI.INI) in your WINDOWS
directory. This file contains the names and scores of
the players who have had high scores. This is a text
file and can be edited by any text editor. If it is
deleted, the high scores record is cleared.

Several beta testers indicated a desire to have sounds
play when the dice are rolled. To accommodate this,
the game has been programmed to play the file ROLLDICE.WAV
any time the dice are rolled. If a file by this name exists
in the Watzi directory, then it will be played. Otherwise,
the request will be ignored. Included in the WATZI10.ZIP
file is a file called ROLLDICE.WA_ that just needs to be
renamed to ROLLDICE.WAV in order to have the sound of dice
being rolled. You may rename this file, or any other .WAV
file, if you want these sound effects. (I personally find
it pretty annoying, but use your best judgment.)
