Keno for Windows is distributed as user supported software,
popularly referred to as SHAREWARE.  You may freely copy and
distribute Keno for Windows so long as it is not modified and 
this read.me file accompanies it.  A nominal service charge may
be assessed for copying and distributing Keno for Windows so 
long as it does not exceed $7.  If you use Keno for Windows,
you are expected to compensate the author for his efforts.  
This encourages the continued development of better quality 
programs which are supported by their users.

The registration fee for Keno for Windows is $10 U.S. Dollars.
An order form has been included with this package and is
located in the Keno.ORD file.  Just print this form, fill it
out, enclose payment, and mail it to me.  Keno for Windows
may also be registered on CompuServe Shareware Registration
service.  Those who register will receive an updated copy of
Keno for Windows with additional features and without the 
pester screen.

PLAYING THE GAME:

Keno for Windows is a gambling game inwhich the player begins
with a BANKROLL of $500.  The player selects from 1 to 12 PICKS
by pressing the associated buttons on the playcard.  Players PICKS
are highlighted in red.  The player places a BET (defaulted to 
5 coins), then presses Play.  Twenty numbers will be selected at 
random and highlighted in blue.  Matches are labeled HIT.  If 
enough HITS are obtained to produce a payout, the BANKROLL will
be increased according to ODDS.  ODDS can be viewed by selecting
ODDS from the menu and scrolling thru the appropriate PICKS frames.


BETTING:

The BET defaults to 5 and remains the same unless it is changed 
via the BET menu.  The BET range is 1 to 5 coins and the hot
keys are F1 to F5, respectively.


CONTROLS:

Playcard     -  select PICKS by pressing desired button
Clear        -  clear the playcard
Play         -  start the game
Odds         -  display the payout rates 
		(use the scroll bar to view appropriate frames)
Bet          -  place a bet from 1 to 5 (hotkeys are F1 thru F5)
Instructions -  display Quick Help instructions


NOTES:

Keno for Windows is a Windows 3.1 application.  Keno for Windows
requires a color VGA monitor.  This software is for entertainment
purposes only, and is sold "as is" without any warranty as to 
performance or any other warranties whether expressed or implied.
Because of the many hardware and software environments into which
this program may be used, no warranty of fitness for a particular
purpose is offered.  The user must assume the entire risk of 
using the program.  A liability of the seller will be limited
exclusively to product replacement or the refund of the 
registration fee.
