GETALIFE Version 1.0

This is a new version of Conway's "Game of Life" 
for Microsoft Windows.  It features file operations 
for loading and saving Life patterns, onscreen
editing capabilities like those found in graphics 
programs, a complete Help file, and dozens of 
sample patterns.

The files included in GETALIFE.ZIP are:

   GETALIFE.EXE -- the executable binary
   GETALIFE.HLP -- the Help file
   GETALIFE.LIF -- a pattern file containing the 
                   program's logo
   GETALIFE.WRI -- the text of the Help file in 
                   Windows Write format
   PATTERNS.ZIP -- an archive containing 37 more 
                   pattern files
   README.TXT   -- this file

This is free software.  The author asks no monetary 
reward for his labors, nor does he accept responsibility
for however many hours of the user's life may be 
frittered away on this fascinating but ultimately 
pointless game.

However, if you like the program and get some enjoyment 
out of it, you could tell me so in a brief mail message.
Bug reports and suggestions for improvement are also 
welcome.
