ataricomputing/general #1158, from pmurphy, 738 chars, Oct 25 16:29 97 Comment to 1152. ---------- I like the user group idea because it's taking just me away from my keyboard for a while - I get to meet people local to me that I can chat to and discuss problems or whatever with. In previous SHAG meetings I've edited someone's HTML, helped test disks and programs, brought old programs and kit and all sorts. I also get coffee and biscuits - but I don't go along just for those of course :-) The Atari has a community behind it - the PC (as far as I can see) seems to be made up of people who are always complaining ('me CD's only a 20x', 'I need more RAM - 32Mb isn't enough for word!' and the like) and never seem to be happy. I like Atari, and I like the people associated with them, well - most of them anyway :-) TFFN Paul
