** Shareware education review/Half page/200 words/3 grabs/Shiuming Lai ** ** Requirements: STe/STFM ** Score: 74% ** ** Body text ** Another Undersoft release, from its educational range. This one is aimed at young children, for developing basic numeracy and memory skills. A total of four games are inlcluded. The first three are based on numbers - counting objects, addition and subtraction. Everything is represented by bold, colourful icons, and the answers are all in the range of one to ten. Selecting an answer is done by moving the pointer over the appropriate number displayed along the bottom of the screen. There is only one opportunity to enter an answer, and seeing as there is no time limit, I think this was a deliberate decision to encourage careful thinking and accuracy. It is possible to quit the games at any point, and a score is given as a total of correct answers out of the number attempted. The final game is a memory teaser, intended as relaxation. It is simply a cut-down version of Deuce, also reviewed this issue. I think I prefer this easier version! Like other Undersoft titles, the presentation is loud and cheerful. Registration is 10 to 20 dollars, it's up to the individual. ** End of body text ** ** Images and captions ** ** TITLE.GIF ** ** ADDING.GIF ** Should young children really be playing with dangerous tools? ** HIDESEEK.GIF ** This is more like it!
