** Maggie review / 245 words ** ST+ Issue 15 * Freeware * ST/Falcon Chris Holland rates ST+... ST+ is one of the few genuine English language monthly publications for the Atari platform at the moment. ST+ features quite a nice custom menu shell - a Tony Greenwood STOS creation, but fixed to work without problems on the Falcon. An attractive menu graphic graces the front end with article selection using the time honoured menu scroller method. The text displayer is similarly advanced, including options such as four colour pictures within text to brighten up the look of an article. The magazine is UK produced and focuses on scene from that perspective. There is a strong team of writers, each with their own distinct personality, and ST+ can rival some of the better known diskmags with the broadness of talent signed up to write for them. Topics covered vary widely, but there is strong and relevant computing coverage in there too. You'll find a well researched guide to ST games which got lost in developers hell and were never released, a comms column, Jaguar news and reviews, and even an ultimate top one hundred chart of classic ST games. The magazine includes plenty of sharp and humorous contributions that have nothing to do with computing and is well worth a read for that reason too. ST+ is a must have for anyone who enjoys reading diskmags. As usual ST+ is available from most PD/Shareware libraries and on-line services. Rating: 79% ** STPLUS.GIF **
