All Good Things Captain Slog, Stardate 26:09:99. Fans of the Star Trek universe will know the end is never really THE end. We activated the self-destruct sequence back in AC14 to give anyone interested in offering an alternative a chance to emerge and if you check out the news pages you'll see it's just possible an alternative will appear. Like the Starship Enterprise we've also travelled where no magazine has gone before with only the resources of our crew to depend on. Two people in particular deserve a special mention, step forward Ensign Shiuming Lai and Mark "Wesley" Wherry - without their efforts we would have abandoned the mission some time ago. Mike "Chakotay" Kerslake has proved time and again two heads are better than one (or the 12 former ACG members!) at making executive decisions and Al "Worf" Goold has always provided no-nonsense straight-talking when we needed it. Sadly, our ship's Doctor, Brian Stanton, didn't get to return to Starbase with the rest of us and his bedside manner is sorely missed. Barring temporal anomalies this will be my last mission but I may make guest appearences elsewhere if I have something to say (I doubt I can keep quiet for long). For years the needs of the many outweighed the needs of the few but now it's time for the needs of the few to outweigh the needs of the many. Live long and prosper!
