InterActive RIP

InterActive closed on May 30th 1999. Joe Connor said "Although InterActive was never run as a profit making venture sadly registrations no longer cover running costs. I'd like to thank everyone who has registered software through InterActive which has put thousands of pounds into the pockets of Atari software authors, from which we have all benefited."

Download links direct to former InterActive supported authors home pages will be maintained in preference to maintaining a central ftp site which should help ensure the pages remain up to date.

Joe intends to continue to translate German software into English and many of the former InterActive webpages will remain online as part of the TransAction crew homepages (of which Joe is a founder member). For more details:

This formerly commercial Falcon 8 track digital audio recorder, programmed by Gilles Barges, has recently been released as shareware. Here's a feature list:

QUiNCY can be configured to only use system calls to access the DSP and/or DMA sound system which makes it possible for TOS compatible platforms, which offer DSP and DMA support, to support QUiNCY.

Videlity v1.03 now Freeware

To celebrate his employment as an official Gameboy developer Dave Murphy has recently released Videlity, the Falcon screen enhancer, as freeware.

Videlity offers software resolution enhancement for all Falcon owners along with support for the Blowup and Screenblaster hardware resolution expanders. Videlity used together with Black Scorpion Sofware's Nemesis accelerator allows access to the quarter pixel VGA TrueColor settings.

Also included on Dave's webpages are the latest library files for Videlity which contain a selection of screen settings suitable for most monitor types.

Dave has also updated his Falcon Sample Player PLAY_SAM so it no longer resets the volume on startup and he has removed the printing of error messages so it can be used as a plug-in with CAB. VA_START support has also been added which means you don't have to stop playback or wait for one sample to finish before starting a new sample - this only works under multitasking operating systems with a suitable AV Server installed.

Aniplayer v2.06

Since v2.03 Aniplayer, the popular AVI/MOV media player, programmed by Didier Mequignon in France, has changed status from Freeware to Shareware and now includes a shareware delay/reminder screen when launched. Aniplayer offers RSC files and documentation in French, English, German, Swedish and Dutch. This release offers the following new features (since v2.05):

 + Delay slide show picture 0 to 99 seconds (JPEG)
