Abingdon Synthesis Projects (ASP) have specialised in helping 
Atarians make the right connections for some time now. If you're 
thinking of upgrading or recasing your machine they have all the 
elusive connectors you'll need.

PSU-Burster

This selection of connecting cables is available for all the 
various Falcon, Mega STe, ST, STF, STFM, STe and MegaST models and 
enable a standard PC (AT form factor) Power Supply Unit (PSU) to 
be used to power an Atari motherboard directly.

PSU-Burster cables are perfect for recasing systems in PC Tower or 
Desktop cases and for anyone using a SCSI-Burster system to 
remotely power the Atari from the SCSI-Burster host case. No 
modifications are required to either the motherboard or the PC 
PSU.

This series of internal fitting IDE converters enables 3.5"/5.25" 
IDE devices to be used with the Falcon's IDE interface. Several 
types allow for the use of either one or two 3.5"/5.25" drives, 
including CD-ROM's using suitable driver software (an easy to 
install Metados kit is bundled with CD-ROM devices).

It's also possible to fit a 3.5" IDE drive inside the standard 
Falcon case (for anyone currently without an internal drives or 
wishing to upgrade) however it is a tight squeeze in there so it's 
worth asking ASP for their advice sheet which explains how to 
perform this procedure.

Another converter enables one 2.5" and one 3.5"/5.25" device to be 
used, which can be used to add a CD-ROM to the IDE bus when 
recasing. We also understand it's possible, using the latest 
version of HD-Driver, to install a LS120 Superfloppy device 
functioning as Drive A: inside the standard case instead of the 
original floppy drive.

ASP can also supply 2.5" IDE and SCSI hard drives and CD-ROM 
devices along with hard-disk mounting kits for PC cases and offer 
a complete upgrade service, details available on request.
