Welcome, this game was written
entirely in GFA BASIC. After
de-arcing, you should have the
following files:

LABY.PRG
The program itself.
LABY.PI1
The screen in DEGAS.
LOADPIC.PRG
Program to generate the screen.
README.TXT
This file.

Before you can run LABY, you
will first have to run LOADPIC.
This expects to find LABY.PI1
in the same directory, and
creates a file named LABY.DAT.
When the mouse pointer
reappears, click either mouse
button to exit the program.

Now that you have LABY.DAT, you
are ready to run LABY.

The reason I put LABY.PI1 in
the archive instead of LABY.DAT
was so you could edit new
screens. LABY uses certain
screen colors to decide where
it is. The colors are invisible
when the program is run, but
using DEGAS, the colors can be
seen. There are eight bumper
colors. I used DEGAS to create
the screen, so I figured you
could create new screens as
well. If you examine the shape
of the color bumpers, you will
notice they match the outline
of the ball exactly. You must
follow this format, otherwise
there are no guarantees that
your screen will work correctly
with LABY. LABY.PI1 makes the
format fairly self evident.

Good luck, and I hope you enjoy
LABY!
