GAME PLAY:

What we would like you to do is, Travel the world in 8O days
or less. This is not so easy as there are slight risks involved.
The risks are not so drastic that you will be killed but could be
diverted to far away places. On your travels we would like you to
pick up 17 souvenirs (one from each major city) and return back to
London.

START:

We will give you œ1,OOO in sterling (British) and œ2,OOO in
Travelers cheques, (œ3,OOO in all). You will start in London
England, collect all the souvenirs and return back to London.

EXCHANGING CURENCY'S:

You may at any Bank or Exchange, swap Travelers cheques for
any curency you wish. Although at the end of the game you will
exchange all curency's back into sterling (British), you can't
exchange back during the game. So be warned not to exchange too
many travelers cheques into other curency, but have enough to buy
a souvenir and pay bills, also have enough to but a ticket to
other destinations. Please see exchange rates during the game.
These will not change but will give you a rough idea as to how
much you have. There is no charge for exchanging travelers cheques
to other curency's. Also be sure to keep enough in sterling.

MONEY:

Money will be sent to you during the game play either by
interest on your account in travelers cheques or œ1OO sent from a
good friend, all in local curency (if in France this will be in
Francs and so on). You will also receive travelers cheques which
can be exchanged to other curency's. You can also gamble your
travelers cheques.

GAMBLING:

You can at any Casino gamble on the wheel of fortune. If you
decide to gamble you must spin a 6 or over to win anything under 6
and you will lose. If you win you will be paid 2-1.

RISKS:

On all journeys you will be told how many risks are involved
in that trip. The shorter the trip the less risks involved. You
will also be told of how many days you will be traveling, so look
out for this. It is sometimes necessary to travel long distances,
especially towards the end of the game.
The risk depends on your situation. You could be traveling
from London to Paris with only 1 risk, and could be diverted to
the other side of the world. At the start of the game this could
be of use but toward the end, it could be drastic. You will always
be told of your wherabouts and if there are any souvenir's at the
place you are visiting (all at the top right of the screen).

PLACES AND DESTINATIONS:

You can't travel to any destination, but only a few from each
city. You can look at the map at anytime to see where you are and
to see where you can travel next.
You may be wise to use the map of the world, to plan a route
around all 17 citys. The shortest route is not always the
quickest.

PAYMENTS:

Payments can range from Hotel Bills to Innoculation fees.
Always be on the guard against these bills at it will not take
long for your local curency to run out. All bills must be paid,
and paid in local curency (New York US Dollars and so on).
If you have not enough local curency to pay your bill then
the authorities will send you to prison.

PRISON AND FINES:

You may be traveling around the world sightseing and take the
local prisons into your sights, you will be told if you are only
visiting a prison or not.
If you can't pay a bill for instance, you will be sent to
prison for anything up to 1O days and will be deported back to
London.
If you are sent to prison there is also a 5-1 chance that you
will be fined. It will tell you if you have been fined or not. The
fine will be very stiff as you will lose all your forign curency's
except sterling and t/c, so be warned....

SOUVENIR'S:

Souvenir's are purchased at any duty free shop along the way.
You must collect all 17 and return back to London. There is only
one souvenir at each major city shown on the map, and only one can
be purchased at the city you are in. You will also be shown if
there are any souvenir's at that city, how many souvenir's you
have in total, how much they are (local curency) and how many days
you have been traveling, at the top right of the screen. Just
below this you will see a list of city's, these are the one's left
with souvenir's not purchased, so this will give you an idea of
where to go next.

PICK POCKETS:

Everywhere you go in this day and age, you will come across
pick pockets, but all are not sucessful at it. If you get your
pockets picked, you will always lose half your travelers cheques,
a little harsh if you have a substantial amount. But if you have
no travelers cheques or very little, you will not suffer to badly.
MENU:

The game is totaly menu driven, and solidly randomised. The
main menu will be found at the botom right, and other smaller
menus can be found during the game.

8O DAYS:

If you travel around the world in 8O days or less you can
re-write the book. But if you dont suceed in 8O days you can
continue on your travels and see how long it would take you. I can
assure you that it can be done in less than 8O days, but it is not
that easy.

So with all this information and tips, play the game and be
warned that i have not included everything here, there are a few
supprises left for you to find out for yourself.

     Good luck and have fun......

This game is a public domain software program and therfore I can't
charge any fees, but as you know programming computers is very
time consuming and hard work. So any donations would be most
appresiated.
