This is an XOR demo disk.

XOR is the beginning of the end of Editor/Librarian programs as
we now know them. It is a System-level Editor/Librarian/Patch
Creator/Data Base, treating your entire MIDI setup as if it were
one big, happy, multi-faceted family of instruments.

With the addition of a programmable MIDI switcher which accepts
MIDI program change commands (from J.L. Cooper, 360 Systems,
KMX, Digital Music, etc.) XOR completely takes over and makes
"hands-off" operation a reality. The XOR user dosn't have to
sidetrack a musical thought to deal with equipment; everything
is controlled by the fast and intuitive XOR interface.

Consider this: XOR's list price is only $295; about the same price
as two of our older patch editors. Is it worth it? See for yourself!

This Demo (XOR_DEMO.PRG) is exactly the same as the Beta Version
of XOR, except that the functions in the MIDI Menu don't really
work. XOR comes with a program that configures it for any MIDI
system, and a library of Profiles (files which support a specific
instrument) which cover most of the more popular instruments.

Our XOR Profile Editor (which we call EOR) allows us to rapidly
generate Profiles for instruments. Caged Artist/ Dr. T's will
be working hard to insure that XOR covers as many instruments
as possible, as soon as possible. Also, EOR will be available
to the general public later this summer, so that anyone with
an exotic instrument can make his or her own XOR editor/librarian
Profile.

One other note: we are working on a Desk Accessory, which
will have many of XOR's features, and will run concurrently with
the popular GEM-based sequencers - this will be given free to XOR's
registered users. XOR does run in the MPE, so those of you with
KCS are all set.

Caged Artist has a well-earned reputation of releasing solid,
well tested programs. In our 5-year history, we've released
over 20 Editor/Librarians, many of them available on four computers,
and the reported bugs have been few and far between. Many companies
would say "Ship it!" - but we say "Test it!"

Once you've experienced XOR, I know you'll agree that it is an
essential tool for anyone with MIDI equipment. When you're actually
creating music, normal Editor/Librarians can't even come close.

a Beta version), or if you have questions about XOR, please write:
