The device drivers and utilities provided on these diskettes
enable you to take advantage
of specific capabilities of your Compaq computer when using IBM OS/2 Operating system.
This readme briefly describes the device drivers and utilities contained on the two SSD
diskettes. See a description of What's New or Updated
on these diskettes. Please
see the History
of all drivers until date. Please refer list of Compaq
Servers supported.
The Compaq SSD Documentation executable, VIEWME.EXE, is available
on Utilities Diskette-1,
which will display README.HTM file on that diskette when you
type VIEWME at the OS/2
prompt. Please read the Readme file for a specific
driver or utility before attempting to
install or use it.
2.0 Supported Operating System Versions
This diskette provides support for the following versions of IBM OS2

Compaq CISS Driver (Version 1.32)
3.2 Automatic Server Recovery and Server Health
The Compaq System Wellness Driver for OS/2 and the associated
Wellness Executable
are required for monitoring the system Wellness using the
Compaq Insight Manager
(using the Compaq OS/2 CIM Agents running at the host
end).
The Compaq Server System
Management Driver (Version 3.10) should be installed
to support this feature.
The Compaq Remote Insight
Board Driver (Version 2.20) is required to support
Compaq Remote Insight Board on OS/2.
The Compaq 32-Bit Helper
Driver (Version 3.32) is required to support Compaq
Management Agents and event logging..
3.5 Compaq Platform Specific Driver for OS/2 SMP
The Platform Specific Driver for SMP OS/2 v2.61 driver is required for Compaq Servers.
4.0 Compaq Application Software
4.1 Compaq SSD Documentation for OS/2
The Compaq SSD Documentation Application from Compaq (Version 1.00)
is primarily used
to read
the HTM files supplied with Support Software Diskette
(SSD) for OS/2. The application
contains two components: VIEWME.EXE and VIEWME.HLP in
Utilities Diskette-1 under
HTMLRDR directory.
