X-Wing Fighter

These are the actual keys for X-Wing Fighter, these keys are from
the actual X-wing manual.

                         
Pre-Flight Controls

Arrow keys:      Moves Cursor to the next position
Return/Spacebar: Selects button under cursor
Return:          Skips all cut-scenes
Space:           Skips current scene

Flight Controls:

Alt-P:           Pauses flight; press any key to continued
Alt-S:           Turns all sounds-effects off and on
Alt-M:           Turns music off and on
Alt-V:           Displays version # of simulation
Alt-D:           Changes amount of Graphics detail
Alt-C:           Selects and calibrates joystick
Alt-E:           Initiates ejection sequence
Esc  :           Selects options dialog

Propulsion Controls:

+                Increases Throttle
-                Decreases Throttle
\                Sets throttle to zero power
[                Sets throttle to 1/3 power
]                Sets throttle to 2/3 power
Backspace        Sets throttle to full power
H                Engages hyperdrive. This will effectively end mission
F                Engages S foil wing position on the X-wing

Power System Controls:

F9               Adjust laser recharge setting
F10              Adjust shields recharge setting
Shift/F9         Directs energy from your shields to lasers
Shift/F10        Directs energy from your lasers to shields

Shield System Controls:

S                Toggles shield configuration

Weapons System Control:

W                Toggles through weapons system
X                Toggles through weapon firing configuration
Enter            Fires weapon

Targetting System Controls:

I                Toggles between CMD ID mode and targetting mode
U                Selects ship within targetting sight
R                Selects nearest enemy star fighter
T                Selects next available target
Y                Cycles through the targets in reverse mode
Shft/F5-F8       Stores current target as one of four presets
F5-F8            Selects preset target

Flight Recorder Controls:

C                Toggles flight camera recorder on and off
V                Allows the current mission recording to be reviewed

Onboard Computer systems/R2 Astromech Droid:

Spacebar         Approval of onboard computer/R2 droid messages
M                Activates in-flight map display
D                Activates the damage assessment display
B                Activates mission briefing directives

Communications:

Shift/H          Head home
Shift/R          Report in
Shift/E          Evasive maneuvers
Shift/W          Wait for further orders
Shift/G          Go ahead and engaged
Shift/C          Cover me, wingman
Shift/A          Attack target, wingman
Shift/I          Ignore target, wingman

Starfighter cockpit view controls:

7                Left forward (10 o'clock)
8                Forward (12 o'clock)
9                Right forward (2 o'clock)

4                Over left wing (9 o'clock)
5                Straight up
6                Over right wing (3 o'clock)

1                Over left shoulder (7 o'clock)
2                Rear view mirror (6 o'clock)
3                Over right shoulder (5 o'clock)
                                                    
0                Toggles between "wing-level" and 45 degrees High Angle View
.                Pilot view with no cockpit

F1               Returns you to the starfighter pilot view from an external
                 or missile view mode

F2               Selects camera view of missiles/torpedoes
F3 or /          Toggles external camera view mode
F4 or *          Repositions camera viewpoint in external view mode
