README.TXT Internet Explorer History Viewer Release Notes
   ---------- ----------------------------------------------

Welcome to Internet Explorer History Viewer, a utility from Phillips
   Ponder Company.

The Internet Explorer History Viewer, will parse and print the history
of URL's visited using the Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.x, 4.x
   and 5.x.

It can also read the INFO and INFO2 files from the recycle bins of Windows
95/98 and NT 4.x, the Netscape cache file "fat.db" and Netscape history file
   "Netscape.hst"

It can parse and ID fragments of IE History Files and recycle bin files.
The only requirement for this feature is that at least 1 and 1/2 records
from the file are recovered so that the program can identify the structure.
Also, you will not want to append multiple fragments together because if
you are off by even one byte the alignment will be off and the records will
   not display properly.

To use the software, just install and run, it will run in DEMO mode until
   you register it.

This software is easy to use, just click the "Open History File" button
and locate the index.dat file you want to process. Once it is finished
processing the file you will see a list of URL's. You can scroll through
the list, select individual lines and print. You can print all of the
URL's or just the ones that you select. You can double click on an
item in the list you can view the entire URL and Right Click to Jump to
the URL (if you are connected to the Internet).

Once you have read in a history file you can search for specific date and/or
time periods and search for specific text. You can also print your search
   results.

If you have any suggestions or find any bugs in this program, please e-mail

This Software is intended for Law Enforcement use ONLY and is not being
made available to the general public.
