Dhrystones:
This is the version 2.1 of the well known Dhrystone benchmark. You cannot compare these results directly with results you get using other compilers. I tried compiling it without optimisations and I got 155 Mips. Fully optimised I reached even 420 Mips, which is faster than a Alpha Station! Dhrystone gives you an impression of your computer’s CPU power for standard applications or how your CPU is handling string and integer operations. On overclocked Celeron Systems (Above 533 MHz) the results may decrease. This seems to be a celeron related problem. Possible reasons are the small level 2 cache, which may not hold enough data for the speed of the CPU or the pipeline which may be to short for high clocking.
