Background Fill
Background Fill allows you to re-colour non-masked and/or feathered areas before blurring. This allows you to control the colour that the blur fades to at the edges of the mask. Background Fill is used in two ways, firstly the colour is used to specify the replacement colour to the right of the blue tick if Feather In BG is selected. If Replace BG is selected then the entire non-selected area of the image is painted in the given colour. This would mainly be used for rendering blurs for later compositing.
Settings0
- From Image: Don't modify.
- Specific Colour: Colour with the given colour (black, white, red, green, blur).
- BG/FG Colour: BG/FG colour specified in the 2D plugin panel. (NB: the actual colour will not be saved into a BNF file)
EG
Here we have no blur selected, a feather of 3 and expansion of 3. Mask fill is set to green and Background fill to red. Feather in BG is selected. Note how the mask fill colour is used close to the object and the bg colour further away. If Replace BG was also selected the background would have been replaced with red.
