Basic Instructions:
---------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT--WHEN INSTALLING KEYKEY FOR THE FIRST TIME,
KEYKEY WILL NOT WORK UNTIL YOU REBOOT/RESTART YOUR
COMPUTER. WHEN YOU FIRST INSTALL KEYKEY, IT WILL ASK YOU
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO RESTART YOUR COMPUTER. BE SURE TO
CLICK "YES"

The main feature of KeyKey is to capture every word and
letter typed into a computer and save it for you to view
at any time. Why would you want to capture and record
eveything typed into your computer? Below is a list of
reasons to use KeyKey:

1)Suppose your computer crashes or the power goes out
while you are working on an important document and you
lose all your work. If you have KeyKey running on your
computer, you never lose your work. Everything you
type is stored in a file you can access anytime. So even
if the power goes out, or your computer crashes, or you
just forgot to save something. Just go to KeyKey and it
will be there for you. Nice and safe!

2)Maybe you suspect your spouse of cyber-cheating on
you in chat rooms or by email. Or maybe it's your
boyfriend or girlfriend you would like to keep an eye
on. KeyKey will allow you to view all conversation
between your spouse and anyone else.

3)Maybe you have children, and you would like to know
what they are doing on the computer when you aren't there
to watch them. KeyKey will capture everything they type
into the computer. After your child is finished playing
with the computer, you can open KeyKey and see what they
were typing. Maybe they were chatting in a chat room
with a perverted stranger. Or maybe they were looking
at an offensive website. This is information you need
to know to protect your child. You would be able to view
the entire conversation between a stranger and your
child if you had KeyKey running on your computer. Your
child may be afraid to tell you about this incident, but
KeyKey will tell you about the incident. Then you can
take action to make sure your child understands how to
be safe on the internet. You may be saying to yourself,
my child already understands not to view adult material
or talk to strangers. But kids love to do things they're
not supposed to. And it's better to be safe than sorry,
and KeyKey can make certain you know what's going on.

4)Do you know someone who spends a little too much time
on the computer. And you want to know what they are
doing? KeyKey will show you exactly what they are doing.

5)Maybe you have an employee or employees and you want
to make sure they are not wasting company time. You
don't want to pay your workers for the time they are
fooling around with non-company related things on the
computer. Many employees love to write their friends
emails, or play computer games on company time. Now
you can monitor this and warn them about wasting
company time if needed. And you'll have the proof of
their time-wasting activities on disc. So you can
show them if they deny wasting company time.

5)If you make your living using a computer, and your
income depends on your computer, KeyKey could save you
from disaster. If you are a computer programmer, a
journalist, or you just do a lot of typing, think about
how valuable it would be have every word you type saved
to a file automatically.
------------------------------------------------------
To test the main auto-saving feature of KeyKey, type a
document, an email, or just type anything you want anywhere
you want on your computer as a test. KeyKey will record
everything you type. After you are done typing some
sample text, open KeyKey by clicking the KeyKey icon
on your desktop. If you created a password, KeyKey will
ask you for your password. After you have KeyKey open,
click the "Generate and View Report" button. This will
display all recent keyboard activity on your computer.
That's all there is to it. It's that simple. Anytime you
want to see an update of the recent keyboard activity, just
click the "Generate and View Report" button.
Remember, if you are not a registered user, KeyKey
will only record for 45 minutes from the time you start
your computer. Once you purchase KeyKey, there will be no
limit to the amount of time you can record. Once you
unlock KeyKey, you will love what a powerful tool it is.

Below are the features of KeyKey and advanced instructions:
---------------------------------------------------------------
List of features:

1. Fast report generator that will quickly display all
keyboard activity for any given day. Everything typed on
the keyboard daily can be quickly displayed by generating a
new report. You can generate a report to view recent
keyboard activity at any time you wish by clicking the
"Generate and View Report" button.

2. Works silently in background and loads automatically
with Windows upon start up. If you are using KeyKey to spy
on someone, this is a very important feature. Or maybe
you just don't want anyone knowing KeyKey is monitoring
your computer. Either way, the way KeyKey works will
help keep it your little secret.

3. Record TimeStamp feature. With this feature you can
record the time, so you can view more detail on what you
have done along the day. Or what your employees have
done along the day. This is an excellent way to monitor
employee productivity.

4. Password for accessing KeyKey Monitor. With this
version, you can set password protection to access KeyKey
Monitor. This way no one can access KeyKey without your
password.

1. What is KeyKey ?
-------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------
KeyKey is to your computer, what the black box is to an
airliner. It records all keyboard activity at all times.
Airliners won't fly without a black box, and we believe no
one should use a computer without a similar recording device.
That's where KeyKey comes in. We think KeyKey should come
built into all new computers. Think about it. Who wouldn't
want a back-up recording device keeping track of all of your
computer activity. That way if you think someone is using
your computer without your permission, you will be able to
tell. Or if you think someone did something to harm your
computer, the black box will tell you what happened.

KeyKey is a key strokes recorder utility that can be used to
capture and record everthing typed into a computer. Along
with the key-strokes, you can also record the task and
windows captions at the time the key was pressed. Start-
up and shut-down time of your computer can also be recorded.
Note that task and windows caption recording is currently
only available for Windows 95/98 version of KeyKey.
---------------------------------------------------------------
KeyKey works in the background. It is able to record key
strokes from Windows applications as well as key strokes
from a Windows DOS box (e.g DOS application running on
Windows MS DOS prompt). Once installed, it will load and
run automatically with Windows. KeyKey will capture every-
thing typed into your computer.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you ever want to record your key-strokes ?
Well, by recording your key-strokes, you have on-line back-
up of your work. What you've typed is there, and safely
stored in a log file for you to view. And also you may
retrieve back your work or ideas (in case your computer
hangs up or crashes before you save your work). What else?
If you like to chat with IRC or ICQ. You can make on-line
documentation about the messages you've sent to your party.
Anything else? Yes, of course, you can view statistics of
key-strokes. KeyKey is able to view your key-strokes
statistics. Not only that. Since you can also record start-
up and shut-down time and also the task and window caption
(also with the time)you can track your daily work
productivity or your employees.

Now, you know why you want to record keyboard activity.
But why choose KeyKey?
- KeyKey is able to record key-strokes from Windows
applications as well as from Windows DOS box.
- KeyKey can record start-up/shut down time of your computer.
- KeyKey can record windows captions of programs used.
- Password protection to access KeyKey for more security.
- Record time stamp at time interval you specified.
---------------------------------------------------------------
2. How to use KeyKey and system requirements.
---------------------------------------------------------------
KeyKey requires at least 4 megabytes of ram and at least
10 megabytes of free hard-drive space. KeyKey will run
on any PC based processor. KeyKey runs on Windows 95,
Windows 98, NT, and Windows 2000. You have to
first install KeyKey. You have to reboot/restart your
computer after installing KeyKey in order for KeyKey to
run. KeyKey then works automatically and silently in the
background when you restart your computer just like the
black box on an airliner does. Now, after installing
KeyKey and rebooting, click the KeyKey icon on your
desktop. This is the KeyKey Monitor program. A message
box informing that this is the unregistered version of
KeyKey will appear. Press the OK button. If you created
a password it will now ask you for it. Enter your
password and KeyKey will open. Now you'll see the main
menu of KeyKey Monitor program.

There are 5 menus :

KeyKey by clicking the KeyKey icon on your desktop. If you

More info about KeyKey:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Important! Below are advanced instructions. If you are
a beginner, you don't need to read the advanced section
below. In fact beginners should not read the information
below because KeyKey will work fine without using the
advanced features below. The advanced features settings
are pre-set for optimal performance. In other words, your
better off not messing around with the settings.

Using the "Advanced" button
---------------------------------------------------------------
Under the Advanced tab you'll find:
Auto delete KeyKey activity report log after certain days.
(KeyKey assumes x days equals x times you start your computer).
Maximum KeyKey activity report log size is the maximum log file
size before it is 'trashed' to old log file, and reset its size to 0.
Maximum log file size can be set to 0 (unlimited, well..
limited by your storage free space) or in the range
1-1000 KB. For the unregistered version, you can only
set it in the range 1-600. Buffer size can also be set
to 0 (write directly) or in the range 1-1024 KB. KeyKey can
be activated or can be stopped from recording from this menu.
There is also auto flush and record timestamp feature here.
Auto flush enables you to write any characters (keystrokes
or process name) in KeyKey buffer to your storage device
(e.g. harddisk) at time interval you specified. TimeStamp
recording feature enables you to record the time of keyboard
activity.
---------------------------------------------------------------
View/Report Option
From this menu, you can generate a report from the the log
file. Just click the "Generate and View Report" button.
This will display your recent keyboard activity of your
computer. Remember, if you are not a registered user,
KeyKey will only record for 45 minutes from the time of
starting your computer. Once you purchase KeyKey, there
will be no limit to the amount of time you can record.

Output Option Section. An output file is already selected
for your convenience. So you don't have to enter anything
for your output file. We recommend you leave it the way it
is. But you can provide a different output file (reporting
file) if you want.

Below is an example of standard report output :

formated perfectly, but at least every keystroke, and
word is recorded here.

Here is some more text. This is only a sample of how
an output file of recent keyboard activity looks. .

The above sample shows you how a raw output text file looks
after you click the "Generate and View Report" button. Again,
it doesn't come out perfect. The text will appear scattered
at times and in strange format, but at least it's all
there. If you are going to use the text from your output
report, you will have to make some repairs.

Registration:
The registration tab shows information on how to register
KeyKey.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Trouble shooting.
If KeyKey is not recording your keyboard activity, try
rebooting/restarting your computer. The KeyKey demo will
only record for 45 minutes, so you will need to reboot your
computer if it's been more than 45 minutes since you started
your computer. Also, make sure your buffer is set to 0.
The buffer was pre-set to zero when you first installed.
