Up from version 2.84 there's a big change in database handling.
JobTime checks every record, if it's corrupted. If JobTime finds
a corrupted record, it tries to fix it.

Some people told me, that version 2.83 (or prior) corrupted the
database. There's a 90%-possibility, that this version can fix
the database. Therefore you need to do the following steps:

Perform all steps described in the Update-description.

After starting JobTime it should find one or more corrupt entries.
You can close every error-message with hitting the 'OK'-button.
Another possibility is to hit the hardware-calendar-button.

When the calendar appears (this could take some time), you can start
JobTime again. No error-message should appear.

Now you have to look at your preferences. Delete every preference,
which you do not need. The same for all data entries.

After those steps JobTime should work fine.

I'm sorry, if JobTime corrupted your database, but I'm using it about
2 years now without such difficulties.
