I can't download program from homepage!
It is common problem with GetRight and ReGet.
I do not know why they do not work. Try to use any other downloader for example you can try Net Vampire. Also now I have some
mirrors you can try to download the program from them.
How to join of e-mail client to WEB-POP3 gate?
If you see POP3Connector at first time in your
life you must follow next steps
- Run POP3Connector
- Create new gate. It is described here.
- Configure Internet connection. It is described here.
- Run your e-mail client.
- Create or edit your mail account. Example is here.
- Try to receive e-mail through your e-mail client
Which limitation have beta version?
You can not
- to minimize program in tray,
- to change POP3 port number for server side program
- to check mail in automatic mode
- to create more than one service
Which web-mail servers is supported?
I do not know exactly. Possibly most of them. :-). I checked program with NetAddress, Hotmail, Excite, Yahoo and Mail.com. Also their mirrors outside USA must worked. Now it is
more flexible program. If some of servers will not like usual web-mail
server I try to make patch for them.
How to configure

If you used versions 2.xx pay attention on difference
at configuring accounts in your e-mail client. So step-by-step....

Select in menu Tools-Accounts

In a dialogue window which will appear press to button Add and choose
item Mail

Fill in offered fields

In section "E-mail server name" specify "My incoming server name" is a
"POP3" and "Incoming mail server" 127.0.0.1.

Fill in other fields.

In section "Internet Mail Logon" specify "POP account name" is a loginID.Your_Login_Name.
How to fill "loginID" and "Your_Login_Name"? You can find necessary information
in properties of your WEB-POP3 gate. The value in field "Service ID" is
interesting information for us. And Your_Login_Name is your name which
you use when login on Web-based mail. Do not forget separating dot.

Example: if your login name is alex and you want to use UsaNet(NetAddress)
and Service ID in your NetAddress gate is netaddress1 then you must enter
netaddress1.alex

Fill all other fields.

After all in a window Internet Accounts your record will appear.

How to configure other e-mail clients?
I can not describe how to configure all e-mail
clients but in general it is three easy steps
- Your POP3 HOST(or ADDRESS) = 127.0.0.1
- Your Username = ServiceID.WebmailUserName (see FAQ above)
- Password = WebmailPassword

How are messages deleted from Web-based mail server?
It depends only on your Web-mail service. Usually that occur by pressing "Delete" button when you read your message through browser. Some services erase the message at once, some move to a folder, some can be configured.
For Microsoft Outlook, what needs to be specified
in defining the SMTP server and the corresponding port number ?
Anything. Anything. The program only accepts mail. You can ask your ISP about SMTP address - usually they give access for SMTP service through their servers.
