Using IK together

  • In case when using inverse kinematics, the angle information of each bone calculated by inverse kinematics cannot be obtained with PGL. Therefore, the calculation by PGL cannot be performed correctly. In this case, with pressing f key in Options panel of LightWave 3D 5.6, the following message will be displayed and all the evaluations of scene parameters of LightWave 3D will become effective. With saving scene files in this status, PGL could be used correctly even in the scenes where IK is being set.

  • However, please note that it will take long time for the calculation of IK with the above mode.

  • As another way, there is the way to create the keyframe with All Items at the time when creating the keyframe for the goal object of IK. Since the angle and the position data at the time when the goal object was moved with IK are saved as the keyframe to each bone, PGL Play makes calculation based on the keyframe information of the bones created.
