TextWizard Professional Overview

TextWizard Professional is a 'do-it-all' text-display applet that allows up to 2000 text entries to be shown one at a time. Any entry can be scrolled, faded, or both, can be aligned in any one of 9 positions, and can have its own individual text color, font, fade-speed, scroll speed, scroll direction and much more. Needless to say, every entry also has its own corresponding URL and Target parameters. In fact, each entry can link to up to 4 URLs with a single click.

Text entries can be of any length. If an entry is wider than your current applet width, the text will be automatically wrapped to up to 100 lines; you can also insert line-breaking delimiter symbols anywhere you want to force a break to occur, making blank lines easy to insert. If you prefer to scroll a long line of text in 'text-ticker' style instead of autowrapping it, a single parameter will adjust all the necessary settings.

Although each displayed entry can have up to 14 corresponding parameters allowing individual adjustment of every aspect of every entry, there are global 'Default' parameters that allow you to choose applet-wide settings that will be used by any entry that doesn't have its own individual parameter. This means that if you want all (or most) of the entries to use the same alignment, color, font, or speed (etc...) values, you can largely reduce the number of parameters that need to be included.

TextWizard Professional also supports the use of a background and/or foreground image: the background image offers a simple alternative to a plain block of color behind the text. The foreground image allows you to place a GIF image containing a transparent area over the top of the text to create more unusual scrolling effects.

TextWizard Professional supports intelligent randomization, ideal for displaying advertizing messages, for example. When the 'random' option is selected, the applet will ensure that no message is displayed more frequently than any other while still creating a display-order at random.
