TreeView: Example #1

To view the applet tag in use above, right click inside this frame and choose View Source

In this example, the URL parameters have been prefixed with $ signs to preventing the menu entries linking anywhere when clicked, so click away!.

Here you can see a bit of everything in action. A (meaningless) HeaderImage and Header have been used to add a 'title' to the menu. The Header text uses the 3D effect.

Folders 2, 3 and 7 are set as direct links rather than containers, and you can see that the tree images and functionality adjust themselves automatically without any complicated settings or measurements to be made. Every folder and page has its own statusbar message.

You can also see that a BgImage has been used. With careful choice of image, it's possible to make the 'joins' between applet and page almost unnoticeable (images with small repetitive patterns generally give best results). Alternatively, you might want to use a quite different image - perhaps something to place a decorative border around the menu.
