HyperActiveMenu is initially a set of up to six mouse-reactive buttons. When a button is clicked, the corresponding menu of up to 15 entries appears below it, allowing for a total of up to 90 entries in one applet. Each entry on the menu is mouse-reactive and can link to up to four different URLs, opening each into its own specified frame or window. It's also possible to define a default frame-name that will be used for any entries that have no individual Target parameter. Each menu entry can optionally display a message in the browser's status-bar.

Clicking the same button a second time will close the menu. Clicking a different button will replace the currently-displayed menu with the new one. All colors and font-variables are user-definable. Separators can be placed on the menu to divide entries into groups. The applet is easily resized to cater for longer text-strings and the length of each menu is calculated automatically from the number of entries it contains.
