This example shows the use of a background JPEG image. The image is roughly the same size as the applet so that it won't be scaled and distorted unduly. Although it's almost impossible to slot an image into the page's background seamlessly, the image is repetitive enough that the joins are barely noticeable.

We've also used unreasonably large fonts to demonstrate HotStrip's handling of any font size.
